Nkyinkyim
Nkyinkyim takes its name from the Adinkra symbol for life’s winding path, which signifies change, resilience, and growth. This abstract piece is a visual map of ancestral wisdom layered with gold, black, and etched symbols drawn from Adinkra and Akan gold weights. Each motif conveys moral teachings, memory, and cultural identity.
With no central figure, the symbols become the storytellers, reflecting Ghanaian visual literacy where design is rich with meaning. Nkyinkyim reminds us that identity is not linear but shaped by cycles, culture, and movement. It transforms language into sacred geometry, guiding us through the complexity of the human journey and the power of inherited knowledge.
